Festival 2019 will be bigger and better than ever.  Last year’s highly successful event in Wellington featured many workshops and clinics….this year more!  We have invited Dr Kevin Cameron to run Band Workshops and our first announcement of an adjudicator is Mark Klohs. Both are highly experienced band practitioners from Australia and we thrilled with their involvement. We will have multiple instrumental workshops of all sorts.
Your band will play to a wonderfully appreciative audience.  You can choose repertoire not just for its entertainment value, but also for its musical juiciness!  Ask us if you’d like some advice on choosing pieces….we’re here to help.
Solo and Ensemble sections will also, as always, be open to your musicians to experience this sort of performance situation.
We also have new awards, including one for Best Performance of a New Zealand Work in memory of David Chaulk and the all new Metallic Awards which are adjudicator’s commendation for one Gold, one Silver and one Bronze band.

Registrations Open March 31 2019.  Please note that preferred playing times will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so register now, even if you are not sure of your final programme or solo/ensemble situation.
nces.  These awards will not go to a band which has been awarded one of the major awards.
